Websites causing computer to crash?

A few days ago I started doing some websites on this sub to earn some extra money. Currently on my laptop (MacBook Air) I have Qmee, Neevo, Prolific, and Rev. Yesterday for the first time ever my laptop crashed and turned off. Today it has happened twice so far. Granted, my laptop is almost 4 years old, but it doesn’t seem like a coincidence that this would happen right when I start using these new websites. Has anyone else had this problem and found the culprit? Thanks!
