How does sales tax work for abebooks sellers?
On their website it says they do collect sales tax for buyers in USA. Do they give sellers that tax revenue, or do they simply collect it from buyer and not give you? Also, do they take their 8% commission and 5.5% credit card commission out of it?
Similar platforms, like ebay and amazon DO take out their commission or :referral fee" from the taxes they collect, and DONT give you the tax revenue. I'm wondering if it's the same and if we are charged their credit card transaction fees on the tax revenue as well.
The 5.5% credit card transaction fee also seems high,not sure if I"m reading that correctly.
