Anyone else doing freelance transcription as a side gig?

On occasion, I see ads and offers to be a Freelance Transcriber. Plus doing a Google search under “Freelance Transcription”, there are several companies that will hire you as a Freelance Transcriptionist with no experience. Plus I have seen a few YouTube videos about doing Freelance Transcription, and overall it sounds like a lot of work for very little pay (especially as a beginner).

Yet I was curious to get the opinion of other Reddit members that are doing or have done this. What was your experience and was the pay worth it? About how much were you able to make per week (on the average) working as a Freelance Transcriptionist?
