Is the Prolific Assistant extension reliable?
When I first started using Prolific (which was about a week ago), I randomly checked every now and then if there are studies available and in the first 3 days I always had at least 1 study to participate in. I later found out about the Prolific Assistant Extension and I installed it. I manually checked the actual site less frequently and awaited the text to speech voice to tell me "studies available on prolific" or something along those lines while my browser is open in the back. I've been doing that for the past 2-3 days but I never get notified about anything, and when I did it was 2 times within the same hour. Both times when I checked the site the studies were either already full or there were only very few places still left. I don't even have enough time to read the description of what I'm about to get myself into.
So my question basically is this: Does the Assistant not tell me about ALL the studies that are available at anytime? Or was I just super lucky that I checked Prolific just when there were studies available. The first times I participated in studies I could take my time and read the description of it before I saved a place for me. I don't want to just listen for a "New studies available at Prolific" and just speed run my way to the site and accept without looking just so I can save myself a place in it.
Sorry if this is something obvious. I'm fairly new to all this. Also if it matters; I'm using Firefox as my browser. Also studies come scarce because I'm from Greece.
