Chief Almighty task tips?

So I'm doing a chief almighty task, i have to get to level 20 in 50 days. I'm 20 days in and I'm at level 14 (though I haven't been very active). I was wondering how I can speed up the leveling progress, it seems the upgrades are getting way too expensive for me.
