To all of these "how to make extra money" lists..
.. giving people programs and services that require you to spend money is NOT "making extra money".
Cash-back programs is NOT "making extra money".
Programs that help you "save money" by paying less is NOT "making extra money".
Making money is the act of making more money than you previously had. Getting paid back a small percentage of something you paid or paying a percentage less than the normal price isn't making money. Sure it's saving money, but it isn't MAKING money. Yet every one of these lists use these as a filler. They are two very different things.
It would make sense if it were to pay for something and you'd be making more money back, actually making a profit. But not when you're paying for something and getting /some/ money back. You're not making any more than what you initially started with.
