Screen recording for Diary Mission in Dscout

I (finally!) got selected for my first Dscout Mission. However, I'm having issues completing the first entry, a screen recording. The app has all permissions granted and it appears to be recording successfully--I'm following the instructions in the tutorial exactly. But when I return to Dscout and end the recording, I'm not able to play back the recording to review it. It just shows up as a gray box, and tapping the Play icon or the X doesn't do anything. I need to be able to watch it to make sure it worked before submitting my entry.

Has anyone had this issue, or does anyone have advice on how to troubleshoot? I already reached out to Dscout support. This mission ends in 2 days and I only got my acceptance a few hours ago, so I don't want to fall behind and miss the deadline.
