Prolific - "Researcher has paused study" - seconds after it started

Hello,

Wondering why the notice: "Researcher has paused the study" keeps coming up in Prolific. This usually happens in conjunction with the Chrome extension 'Prolific Assistant'.

I will quickly jump on a survey to see that there's hundreds of spots available. When I click 'Start' -within seconds of the survey being posted - the notice pops up. It keeps happening. If the researcher has set and limited the amount of participants, why pause the study? Surely the researchers don't post the study until they're ready?

Any help on this is appreciated.
