Ibotta + Walmart?

Hi I have been using Ibotta and Walmart. When I scan the Walmart TC Code in the receipt, Ibotta says that it is an old receipt.

How does ibotta know that a receipt is old just based on TC number?
Either they have access to Walmart TC number database or they know how to decipher the date and other data from TC number itself.

Any idea?
