Any luck doing 'PC work' for tech illiterate boomers?

Ever tried say, going on craigslist, nextdoor or local FB groups offering services on doing simple computer stuff (making PCs faster in some way, backing up/restoration, fixing stuff) for a decent yet small tickle of bucks from elderly folks? Kind of a cheap/iffy and slightly shammy thing to do, but hey. I'm scraping.

What have your experiences been in regards to this?
