Questions For Current app users

Are you using a separate phone to run this app? Last time I installed it, it took over every single function of my Android phone. You can't deactivate or stop it, it is always on, it interferes with everything, sends notifications and similar crap at the most inopportune times (like in the middle of videoconferencing) even when you disable them, if you can disable them that is. They have severely restricted what can be disabled so you have to go through the OS, and even that may not work esp. on unrooted phones.

Otherwise oddly enough I actually like the selection of music they have and would like to listen to it some time, but on my own schedule not theirs.

How do you silence this thing when you are doing more important things and need to use your device without interruptions or interference?
