Butter Shutting Down

I doubt there are too many people who used this or care but figured I'd make the post anyway incase there were. Butter is/was a cashback on your subscriptions type of program. I believe you have to initiate a deposit to get your balance paid out before they shut down. Here is the email they sent:

For two years, the Butter team has worked hard to help users like you keep track of subscriptions and save money. But Butter isn’t providing the exceptional experience we envisioned for our users.

As a result, we’ve made the tough decision to retire this product and it will no longer be available on October 30th, 2020.

We know you’ll have some very important questions, including the cashback you’ve accrued.

Butter users will stop accruing cashback as of September 30th, 2020. We’ll be sending your cashback via Interac e-transfer before we cease operations on October 30th, 2020. If you haven’t gone through the cashback deposit process yet, or just need a refresher on how to deposit cashback, you can refer to this article.

All Butter user data will be deleted from the platform and users will have up to October 30th, 2020 to access the platform.
