How can I get on the path of a proofreader?

I have an A level in English and I'm pretty great at spelling and pointing out errors. In fact I'm always the one to point out grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors in other people's work. I really think a side hustle as a proofreader, and later maybe an editor is perfectly doable. But I don't really know where to start. I know that for people to trust me I have to look qualified and have proof that I'm capable of doing what they want.

I checked my local university and they don't have any small proofreading courses I could do. If my only option is online, what are the best and non-scammy online courses available?
