Increased points needed to cash out on Current

I just logged into Current and noticed that where it used to cost 25,000 points to redeem a $25 Target gift card, it now costs 35,500. I know the point to dollar conversion is arbitrary and they can change it whenever they want, but it feels shady. Should I cut my losses and cash out for something lower? I would hate to keep trying to save up only to have them increase the cost again. Do you think it has anything to do with the holiday season and it might be worth waiting to see if the cost goes down again?
