Is it me? Or is it War & Magic?

I've played and earned from Final Fantasy XV;ANE, Lords Mobile, World War Rising, and Rise of Kingdoms. Found them all pretty easy, and even fun.

But War and Magic is just boring me to tears. I find the interface clunky, the mechanics opaque, and progression slow.

Do I just not get it? Or is this game just a piece of shit? I regret using 99¢ of my Google Rewards money to give myself a head start, but it seems like 1,000,000 power could be weeks away.
