Cloud Connect ID Verification?

I got a few surveys without verifying my ID, I went to do the ID part yesterday but they want my full ID front and back with no numbers covered?!

I'm a little wary of this because identity theft is like my worst nightmare, is this really safe? I've never sent my ID like that to anyone ever.

Has anyone had issues after sending their ID? Also is it worth it? I haven't gotten any surveys in a few days, will I get more after verifying my ID?
