PayPal digital payment on Receipt Pal

If I cash out for $10 does this “digital payment” get added to my PayPal balance (to spend) or will it be the case where I can only purchase something “up to $10” ? I know that’s how it works for the Visa prepaid e gift card. You can’t spend more than the amount and pay any extra in another payment form.
