Mobprofit and brandbee ( MPM)

A few months ago when mobile proformance meter rebranded as Brandbee I noticed it looked the same as mobprofit but I was newer to the latter and successful ran and redeemed on both apps. The latest update seems to have merged the two. My points are the same now on each app and when I earn or redeem on one it shows on the other. Why the two separate apps and names, though? Anyone heard anything about this?
