Is freelance transcribing a good way to make money as a teenager?

I have seen many videos on YouTube and TikTok on how transcribing can be a good way to earn some money. And from what I have seen it kinda seems too good to be true. ~9$ per hour with a medium typing speed, not a lot of skill required and you decide when and how much work you wanna do. Does anyone have any experience doing this on websites like rev.com or other sites? Is this really too good to be true?

Side note: I'm from Germany so this might change stuff like the payment received but it still want to hear some experiences other people made with transcribing so I can look into it myself.
