Is the “Game Master” perk on Drop App a good investment?

I’m seeing a “Games Master” perk on Drop which offers “points and other surprise perks”. It appears to be some sort of virtual pet that you get gift card points for taking care of.

I’m hesitant to pick it up cuz it costs 5,000 points…and that’s $5.00 that wouldn’t be going directly towards a gift card.

Has anybody shown a profit with this perk thing, or am I better off just putting my points towards gift cards?
