Software developer wants to make some passive beer money. Recommendations?

Hi guys!

I'm a software developer with good income, but would like to make some beer money with side projects.

It's less about the money itself, but about the challenge. Therefore small amounts are just fine. I'm not looking for freelancing jobs. I remember making good money with websites years ago and kinda liked to see the numbers increase, like points in a game.

My background is software development (frontend, backend, mobile, ...).

What would you recommend me to focus on?
