anyone know why app flame stops giving points?

App flame and another similar app were both working good untill I hit $5 then I stopped earning points it just wouldn't register. A few days later I try app flame and it's working allowing me to earn points then maybe only after an hour it stops. I thought limiting background tasks was the problem but it's not. Anything else like settings or something? Happened on both phones so I'm assuming it's the app. Hopefully someone responds saying they had the same issue so I can ditch the app or a solution. Either outcome is fine idc really.
