This week's grocery haul: I got paid $19 to take $86 worth of Eggs, Toothpaste, Snacks, Jell-O, Baby Food, Cleaners, and more!
Here are the goodies.
I got a big variety of stuff this week. I wasn't originally planning on making a bigger haul, but I got an Ibotta bonus for $35 back on 115 items. I don't usually do the big ones like this since I normally only get half way, but I'm going to give it a shot! I have a month to finish it. Thanks to BC, I might be able to still turn a profit on it. It definitely saved the day today.
Make sure to look around Ibotta for the Buzzer bonus. I found it right above the Any Item category.
Total: $85.99
Coupons: $7.04
CVS ECB Earned: $2.04
Total Cash Back: $96.06
Final Cost: -$19.11 - Money Maker!
Here is the complete break down and sites used. The Dixie coupon was on the product at the store. I put the CVS ECB under "coupons" since I didn't know where to put it. All of the other coupons were printable. I don't include sites that take any receipt such as Coinout, ReceiptPal, etc on my breakdown. The stores are listed in the breakdown image.
Brandclub is a new addition to my hauls. If you're not familiar with the app, you can read about it on the post I made the other day. I also have a guide about how I do trips like this if you're interested.
If you aren't interested in this kind of thing, please keep your comments to yourself. If you don't like what I buy, you can buy different products. If you don't like hunting for deals, you can do surveys, microtasks, games or whatever else you like instead. There is no need to discourage other users just because you aren't interested in the same things!
Some additional deals I didn't/couldn't take advantage of:
-
Tons of good matchups at Dollar General today. I was going to get Snuggle instead of Suavitel, but I saw a Big Mama and I haven't seen those since I was a kid, so I had to grab it. I just factored it into my $5 off $25 coupon. Other items include old spice spray, secret spray, crest, colgate, rolaids, schick, febreze auto, tide, arm & hammer laundry soap, mr clean, and more. Even with just digital coupons and the Saturday $5 off $25 coupon (also digital), you can make all sorts of combinations for <$5 after the digital coupons on the DG app.
-
Country Crock Stick Butter (Ibotta + coupon)
-
Huggies club on fetch - I don't know much about this, but it popped up when I scanned my receipt. It showed $50.
-
Poligrip - Ibotta + Shopkick + coupon = ~$1.30
-
Free coca cola energy (Single + 4-pack) on Ibotta
-
Free JUST Egg Sous Vide on Ibotta
-
Kaboom and Oxiclean at Dollar General - Pair with the $5/25 Saturday coupon, and many stores have coupons on the products (mine didn't)
Afterthoughts
My trip today was a bit crazy. I normally don't shop at so many stores. On occasion I might stop at CVS or Dollar Tree to grab one or two things, but I ended up going to both today. I somehow ended up with a $2 ECB and $0.04 from buying those 2 candy bars at CVS. I was not expecting that at all. I had some fun using their self checkout machine for the first time today. It started playing music for some reason.
Someone brought it to my attention that Dollar General had the Cinnadust and that there were some pretty good deals with the Saturday $5/25 coupon, so I decided to give it a go. It was a pretty painless process, so I think I might start checking it more often. Most of the potential deals were non-food though, so I'm not sure if I'll go there often. I usually don't put coupon-only hauls on here, but is that something you guys want to see if I'm doing the DG haul on the same day as a cash back haul? For example: If I did a DG haul with only digital/printable coupons, and then went to Walmart and did a regular cash back haul. Would you want to see the DG haul as well, or only if there was also cash back like today?
My haul at Walmart was dreadfully annoying. I was originally planning to do my haul yesterday, but since the DG haul only works on Saturday, I had to wait. Nothing was supposed to expire, but I ended up losing like 8 items overnight. I should've checked before going to the store. It was pretty rough trying to recalculate that much on the fly, and it would have ended up costing me more if BC didn't send me a bunch of new surveys. I probably would've abandoned my haul otherwise.
Food From Deals
I made quite a bit last week. I usually don't make so much from deal items, but I have a lot of stuff that needs used up. Especially this tempeh, which worked out great in these Sausage Tempeh Egg McMuffin. I also made some Ribs, Cinnamon Rolls (which were delicious, and gone already), and Reese's Chocolate Pudding Cups.
Do you guys want me to continue showing things I've made using ingredients I got from rebate apps on these posts? Let me know in the comments, or you can fill out this form if you want to remain anonymous.
