Voice Recognition research in Bay Area

DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for people to participate in Venus Prompt for its Artificial Intelligence (AI) department.

What is the Study about?

The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of voice recognition and transcription software. For the study, you will be required to come to our Cupertino office to record a set of vocal prompts to a series of devices.

Who is eligible?
To participate you should meet the following qualifying criteria:
- You are located in the Bay Area and can come on-site for a 90-min study.
- You consent to your voice being recorded and hands showing in videos.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are a native* USA-English speaker and fluent in English OR you are a non-native and fluent English speaker and speak one of the following languages natively:
- Mandarin Chinese
- Cantonese Chinese
- Spanish
-Tagalog
-Vietnamese
-Any Native Language from India (ex. Hindi, Urdu, Bengali)

\Please note that for the purpose of this study, we define native as a person who has spent most of their childhood (ages 4-17) growing up in a country where that language is official or predominant.*

NOTE: you cannot participate if you have completed a study involving interactions with a voice assistant within the past 24 months.

Where is the study taking place?

The study is taking place in our Cupertino office.

How much is the compensation?
In compensation for your participation, you will be receiving $70 USD.

How long does it take?

It shouldn’t take you more than 90 minutes to complete the task.
