possible focus group scam?
i got a phone call out of nowhere from some focus group company i've never heard of, they were offering ~$200 for a webcam focus group session, asked some super specific questions about whether my family worked in the medical field, asked if i knew some specific named people, then sent my email (which i gave them) a link to register on their website and install their special software (i.e. a third party zoom) to conduct the focus group. i didn't think much of it at the time.
i haven't opened their email, and i just got a call from the company telling me that i should register soon (the person on the phone said they had a client waiting on it), so i finally opened the email. the email was from Focus Confirm Support, linking me to the focus confirm website, a website i can't find ANYTHING about online and that doesnt even have a homepage. are legit focus groups shady like this?
