Dscout users: Are there dscout "seasons"?

Basically asking longtime dscouters if there are "seasons" when the app has more offerings or less? I was very surprised, as a new user, how many missions were posted around Thanksgiving, but seems to have slowed a lot since. Is Christmas a dead zone there? Is there a time of the year when missions are really plentiful? What's been your experience?
