Need to download VidGrid to test on Conversion Crimes? Is it legit?

Hi,

I just signed up for Conversion Crimes and was rather excited to "get in early". I was about to take the practice test and it appears that I have to download VidGrid, but I am having trouble finding a free version of this?

Doesn't paying for a program kind of defeat the point of a beer money site? I don't think I will proceed if it is going to cost me money to join. It's the principle. Hope I'm wrong here. Has anyone else used Conversion Crimes with any success?
