What do you look for on MTurk?

I am an MTurk veteran, I used to easily get $200-300 per month back in 2014-2016 in college. I've recently gotten back into it to earn a little extra cash to pay for formula and diapers. Where I used to be able to knock out 20-ish 50-cent+ surveys a day, I now can barely find any.

I've seen people post making upwards of $1000 on Mturk per month now, so what is the secret? Is it qualifying for specific style of HITS? The days of quality surveys on here seem to be gone for me. Prolific has been my go-to survey site, but that's been pretty stagnant in the summer as well.
