Mypoints - Spend $20.00 first 30 days- Get $10.00 Gift Card - question

I made a purchase from kohls through my points I guess about 15 days after I signed up. It says 178 points will credit in 22 days at the moment. Will the 1750 points they will give me be given at the 22 day mark as well? I plan on returning one of my items to Kohl's tomorrow. If I simply get store credit/gift card instead of a full refund, I should still get my 1750 points correct? Thanks
