Android Device Questions

Hey all.

I'm currently using a retro-fitted S4 Mini (Lineage OS) to do various app offers, like on Swagbucks and GG2U.

Unfortunately, the device's hardware is showing its age, and I'm thinking about a replacement device.

I've been looking at cheap Android tablets, particularly the Kindle Fires: Are the hardware specifications good for playing resource-intensive games/apps? Would they register properly since the device is using FireOS and not stock Android? If Google Play is installed (easy to to), would everything be alright and would the offers credit properly on completion, or would there be problems?

Alternatively, I've been looking at Android phones in the $80.00 range as a long-term investment for doing app offers -- is it worth buying one or a cheaper phone with an older Android version that I can retrofit, like I did my S4 Mini?

Thanks for any insights/advice.
