I need help donating plasma(?)

Sorry if this isn't the best group to post this in. I recently started donating plasma, but during today's appointment, I got very close to fainting. I have fainted once before and I am aware of the feeling, but I have never had it happen before from donating. What can I do to make sure it doesn't happen again? All of my vitals were great, I was hydrated, and I did eat a healthy meal before donating.
