Optimity - Get points for walking (PASSIVE)

If you were a member of Carrot during its time, Optimity is basically the relaunch of that app. The concept is the same. It sets a step goal for you, and you try to meet that step goal everyday to get a streak which allows you to multiply your points. You can invite friends and do Step Together challenges and get rewarded even more together. Lastly you can complete the occasional quiz for ~50 points.

Rewards:
Currently the only rewards are Petro-Points, which you can redeem at Petro-Canada for free gas or a car wash. HOWEVER, you can also redeem Petrol-Points for e-gift cards to retailers such as Walmart or Tim Hortons.

100 points = 10 Petro-Points
480 points = 50 Petro-Points
2700 points = 300 Petro-Points

The minimum amount of Petro-Points you need for a gift card is 10 000 for $10. Your first gift card will be faster to get, as you get 2500 Petro-Points when you sign up for a Petro-Points account.

I know it sounds like a lot of work to go through two points systems to get the real goods, but it’s just walking, so it’s very passive. We’re all working from home these days so this might be a good incentive to get your steps in!

Currently only available in Canada, but they are planning to expand to the US and even Asia.
