App tracking mechanism, and scam task queries

Hi! I just wanted to ask: 1) How does a beermoney site track progress if the task is to level up via an app? Is there any chance the site is in any way tracking my other phone activities and is there a way to stop that?

2) There was a task (from what I would say is a legit beermoney site) to sign up for a website. I did, and it turns out the website is a scam site and I'm trying to get out of it. The reward wasn't credited (it literally said provide valid info, avail free trial, get reward) so far. Does this merit that the beermoney site is not legit after all?
