Thoughts on QuickThoughts app constantly using GPS location until the app is fully closed causing battery drain?

Location apps like Google Maps or Twitter, when opening the app it checks your location for like 3 seconds then location tracking turns off.

Not sure if iOS users face this issue, with QuickThoughts it does the same but it stays on until the app is closed, so if I were to be doing couple of surveys for 30 mins, location would be on and tracking for 30 mins which is slightly unusual. I’m fine with that except this this causes the phone’s battery to drain considerably thanks to location being constantly on. You can see QuickThoughts always has location on if you look in the top right corner, it has location icon.

Usually I have Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter as my power hungry apps in my phone battery stats but if I were to have QuickThoughts open, literally not taking any surveys, not doing anything, since the location is on throughout the usage, it will climb near the top of my battery usage, near YouTube and tiktok which i use the most.

Should I bother emailing QuickThoughts and expressing this issue and if they could implement a 1 time location check like most social media apps/navigation apps rather than constantly on? I know I’ll get a typical robotic response but would they actually take the feedback into account and implement in the next few months?
