Offers that ask for debit card info on Swagbucks

I'm always wary of anything that asks for debit/credit card info. You know like those offers that tell you to sign up for a 10 day trial then start charging you after it's over. Can you guys please share your experiences with offers like these? I assume that the way to go is to just cancel your subscription after the trial ends but I am still very skeptical.
