Payment Deception in Surveys
Recently took a survey (low paying) on Prolific about a new health app that interacts with your Facebook account. It said there was potential for large daily bonuses ($10) after doing the survey and completing a pilot test where you interact with the app. Turns out the large daily bonuses were "deception" by the researchers and part of the study. Seems like a pretty slimy way to get people to do your survey. Anyone else have experiences like this?
