Just signed up for MTurk and I have questions

I just signed up for Mturk (after I got rejected from lionbridge for failing the test, which is unfair btw because I studied for 12 hours for it), and it gave me a message that I will need an invitation to start completing tasks. My question is, is it for sure that I can work for them? Is there a possibility that I will not receive that invitation? and also, do I have to complete a test before joining just like lionbridge?
