Is it possible to use unlimited video and photo storage on Pixel phones to upload other files

Is it possible to use my Pixel phone to upload files other than photos and videos to my Google Drive cloud storage? Looking to jew my way out of paying Google for the storage while keeping a copy of the files in the cloud. Could I somehow encode the data in a photo/video or a series of them?
