How often do you cash out?

I'm pretty new to this and after using prolific for a month I have roughly 30 GBP waiting to cash out (and convert to sweet sweet USD). Do you guys usually cash out right around when you hit the minimum threshold or wait until it feels like a nice chunk of change?

Are there drawbacks to leaving the money other than the risk the site could go under? Also does paypal charge to convert to USD?
