How do you tell if a "win rewards" app is actually legit?

ugh genuine question because i can’t tell anymore. every app claims "real rewards", "easy cashout" and "just play and win" but once you actually download them it's always

hidden requirements, slow progress or just not fun enough to continue. i don’t mind putting in time if it’s entertaining, but i hate the feeling of being tricked into wasting it. what do you guys usually look for before trusting one of these?
