Do you use a separate bank account for receiving payments via bank transfer?

In the past with beer money I’ve just cashed out with gift cards, but I’m wondering about trying a bank transfer option in the future to get the money directly. However, I’m uncomfortable with the idea of giving out my actual bank info. I’m curious what others do - have you opened a new checking account, or an entire new bank account with a savings or checking account, and given out that info instead?

(This question isn’t really specific to any one app, although I can specify names if needed).
