If you aren't interested in this kind of thing, please keep your comments to yourself. If you don't like what I buy, you can buy different products. If you don't like hunting for deals, you can do surveys, microtasks, games or whatever else you like instead. There is no need to discourage other users just because you aren't interested in the same things!

If you don't need feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, soaps, etc - consider donating them to your local women's shelter, church, or school! Don't need cat food, give it to a shelter!

Some Additional Deals

Afterthoughts

Today was pretty awesome deal-wise. I got almost $10 off some dog food, and I found stacking deals on the Shea Moisture shampoo/conditioner + peelies which brought them down to about $2/bottle. It's my favorite shampoo, and they're normally $8/bottle. I also got more cat and dog trees which were a huge money maker. Then I finally got around to checking out the MyPurina app which had free dog and cat treats, plus I got a bunch of points. I dropped by Goodwill on my way home too, and found one of those pet gates for $3! They're normally ~$30.

Since my last post, I actually went to the store 3 additional times. I forgot to put it in the photos until I was reviewing everything and I don't feel like retyping it all, haha. One day I got 2 covergirls. $1 each, $3 cash back. Another day I got 2 covergirls again, 4 of the megaropes and some rockstar like last week. Next time I got 2 4 megarope, 2 rockstar, and a pack of bandages. All pretty decent money makers, especially since I was running to the store for one reason or another anyways.

I also uploaded my receipt to the MyPurina app. First time I've signed up, and there was a freebie for Beggin' Strips and a bag of Frieskies cat treats. I also got 10pts per $1 spent plus 30 points. It's kind of hard to put a value on that, but there's things like a $5 coupon for 750 points, 2.1oz friskies treats for 870 points, $10 food coupon for 1,400 points and tons of toys. Shame I didn't realize they had an app sooner - I buy all sorts of purina stuff with these rebates and just normally. Ended up with 2,195 points so far.

Shockingly, I managed to get $9.55 for last month's Amazon Shopper panel. I bought a couple cheapie items earlier in the month, which I might do again lol.

Don't forget to redeem last month's daily goal rewards on SB/MP/etc.

Time Spent

I planned my haul pretty quickly today, I think over the course of like half an hour. I was in Walmart for about 50 minutes which included my regular shopping, and way too long spent trying to figure out where they moved my usual shampoo brand.

Food From Deals

The other week I made some taco meat. Deal items included taco seasoning and ham (I substituted half for the beef, couldn't taste the difference). I served it with pasta instead of the tortilla shells. Not as tasty, but I have way too much pasta that needs to get eaten. Although, there are some decent stacking deals on hard shells between Ibotta + Fetch right now.

I also made a lasagna. Cottage cheese, ham (subbed half the meat), noodles, pasta sauce, and most the seasonings were deal items. Beef wasn't, and the "cheese" wasn't. I used bettergoods plant-based "cheese". It's pretty decent. I wouldn't use it on a pizza, but in lasagna? I can barely taste the difference, and my stomach is much happier.

Here's some things I've made in the past: High Protein Tomato Crackers, Hot Sausage Cups, Peanut Butter Fudge & Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge, Chocolate Cherry Pie

Do you guys want me to continue showing things I've made using ingredients I got from rebate apps on these posts? Let me know in the comments, or you can vote on this poll if you want to remain anonymous.

Mini FAQ

  • If you're new or confused - check out the guides near the top of the post. They go into detail about everything.

  • I'm from the USA and these posts are tailored as such, but this post of mine does list things from other countries that I know about.

  • My posts are tailored to being money makers to suit this subreddit. There are tons of great deals that aren't money makers but can still save you a lot of money.

  • A lot of what I get is given away to friends, family or is donated. I do this more as a hobby than anything.

  • I generally do not share my spreadsheet since the one shown in this post is not the one I actually use (it's put together with a script from my usual spreadsheet) and there are a ton of little things that will give you wrong values if you don't know about them and even then you have to be careful. It's super easy to make a spreadsheet with Google Sheets though.
