HSBC to Lloyds Switch Rejected??

Hi everyone,

I’ve successfully done switch offers before and went through the steps of switching to a Club Lloyds current account from a HSBC current account. Lloyds accepted my application and opened the account but then I got the text

“Unfortunately your switch request could not be progressed. Please contact the Lloyds Bank Switching Team on 03456 025 293”

Called Lloyds and they said that HSBC rejected the switch (no more info) so call them. Called HSBC and they said that they never got a request to switch..

All of my info is correct, never changed name or address etc. so does anyone know what the issue could be?

The man on the Lloyds call suggested requesting the switch again but it’s leaving it pretty late before the deadline if it doesn’t work again
