When did Mistplay introduce security codes to redeeming giftcards?

I've always gotten Amazon giftcards but its been a couple months and now I need to go to a URL and enter a security code in order to get my giftcard. No more redeem code in my wallet or email. When did this come into effect?

On a side note, its been forever since I've seen any 3+ earner games :/ ....
