Safe to share ID with rev.com?

Hi there, I recently was approved to work for rev.com after completing the qualification test.

Before they allow me to work they are asking that I provide a form of identification to prove my identity.

I was planning on using my driver's license. Is this safe? What are some of your experiences with sharing ID with companies in the past?
