prolific earnings so far (and a question)

So today marks my two week mark as a member of prolific and I've made roughly about $180 dollars... I've been making beer money a long time but this is my first exclusive membership and I gotta say it's definitely worth the wait.

And also, I've noticed a few studies will say the compensation for completing there study is "$x.yz" but the actual reward amount (that prolific shows along with the remaining spots and average time) will be a different amount, usually less then what the study claims in thetr "intro". Was just curious if anyone knew why?
