is it common for surveys/sites to ask about my mobile/laptop model, or security questions?

I was signing up for a survey site where one gets paid for taking surveys or research studies. During that, I got some questions that sounded alright separately but together sounded sus. Like my mobile model, what accounts I commonly use for transactions etc. etc. I was spooked, coz it felt invasive. Is these type of things normal? What are legit sites available? How to realize if a survey/site is legit or not?
