Patreon vs Ko-Fi, am I handicapping myself using Ko-Fi?

When it comes to features and fee structures, Ko-Fi (or even Buy Me A Coffee) seems to be no slouch to Patreon.

But Patreon still seem like the number one towards potential patrons, and I can’t get any through Ko-Fi.

I am trying to use Ko-Fi instead of Patreon for the aforementioned reasons, but then am I handicapping myself because Patreon is more recognisable?
