dscout videos, what are they?

I've signed up for Dscout and the offers seem to pay well and are very involved. However it looks like they all require videos of some sort. I'm a bit camera shy but would like to be more comfortable on camera. Can anyone tell me what you actually do on the videos? Are you just talking to the camera or is it something else?
