After giving a complaint, how long will user testing take to reply?

I recently came across a test which wanted me to make an account which I was fine with, until they wanted me to upload an ID which I was not comfortable with at all. They hadn’t specified this until the step came along, and there was no way for me to get around it.

Was I in the wrong or will I get compensation for this?
